Alpaca Jewelry - South American Alpaca Jewelry is made from allows of Zinc, Copper, Iron and Nickel.  It has properties like stainless steel and will not tarnish or rust.  Alpaca products are hypo-allergenic and made from extremely lightweight material.

** Please note -- Alpaca silver is not real silver**

Tagua - From Ecuador, the Ivory Palm, or sometimes called vegetable Ivory, is often used as a subsitute for elephant Ivory today.  When dried out, it can be carved just like elephant Ivory; it is often used for beads, buttons, figurines and jewelry and can be easily dyed.

More recently, palm ivory has been used in the production of bagpipes.

Vegetable ivory furthers important environmental and economic goals by stimulating the local economies in South America and provides an alternative to cutting down fainforests for farming and prevents elephants from being killed for the ivory in their tusks.
