100 % NATURAL ALPACA YARN
All of our yarns are 100% Alpaca, spun from the fibre from our own herd of Beautiful and captivating Alpacas. Once in a while, we blend the Alpaca with either nylon for sock yarn, or another COMPLETELY NATURAL fibre to add texture or excitement!
The Alpacas like to mix things up a bit for us, to make life interesting! Their fibre changes from year to year, as well, the micron count (thickness of each hair or fibre) can change from one year to the next. So, when the fibre is being spun at the Fibre Mill, the expert spinners lovingly combine fibres with compatible micron counts to make larger batches of yarn. Therefore, with each passing year the batches return to us in differring colours and weights. We never know what colours we are going to get. That is what makes it so much fun!!
If you are looking for a specific colour or weight of yarn and we don't have it here, we would be happy to locate some for you,or put you in touch with another Alpaca producer that might be able to fill your needs.
